A fistula is a passage from your kidney that allows kidney dialysis. A fistulagram is an X-ray procedure to look at the blood flow and check for blood clots or other blockages in your fistula.

To diagnose anal fistula: It is used to diagnose the perineal fistula which is a mass that develops between bowel end and anal skin.

What is the complication of Fistulogram?

Fistulogram/Fistuloplasty is generally very safe but as with any procedure complications are possible. Bruising – There may be a bruise around the site where the needle has been inserted. Infection – This is a rare complication and it may require antibiotics or further treatment.
